Mission and vision  

Sloga stands for social justice, social responsibility, respect for human rights, solidarity, sustainable development and better inclusion of vulnerable groups in decision-making in the context of development cooperation.

As Slovenian platform, Sloga aims to share the experiences of its members with Concord and other partner NGOs, as well as to cooperate in relevant campaigns at European level. Additionally, it aims to offer Concord its assistance in advocacy activities at national level, directed towards the national government and Slovenian MEPs. It actively participates in European development policy preparation, implementation and evaluation.

The main aims of SLOGA are to:
-encourage and implement all kinds of networking activities among NGDOs on a national level,
-participate and widely inform about decision-making processes in relevant areas,
-form working groups and make selection procedures for its representatives in different governmental and international bodies,
-raise awareness within the population on the importance of development cooperation and humanitarian aid,
-ensure advocacy and lobbying activities for important political decisions,
-establish an information and research  centre for development cooperation and humanitarian aid which will be giving evidence about stakeholders,
-assist volunteers and its NGOs in preparing trainings.

Up until now, SLOGA members have been involved in various CONCORD working groups such as Funding for Relief and Development-FDR, Development Education Forum-DEF, Aid Watch, Cotonou and other. Moreover, SLOGA has offered full technical and information support to the Slovenian coordinator of Global Call to Action against Poverty-GCAP. SLOGA is also, beside Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Austria, a national partner in the Regional partnership program.
